Torquil Cottage is one of the original dwellings in Trebetherick with a
wonderful position next to a beautiful sandy beach (150 m walk). It is a much loved
family home, and has been in the same hands since it acquired its present form
in 1936.
|

|
It is rather a hybrid, consisting of 2 ancient cottages
which were joined together, and an extension. The front of the cottage is seen here
looking up Daymer Lane from which it is separated by a low stone
wall and slate path. Daymer Lane leads directly to Daymer Bay
(150 metres away), excellent for children and wind surfers. Near the top of the lane
there is a post office, well stocked shop and newsagent. |
|
The cottage has a large, sheltered
and landscaped garden to the rear, seen here. There are wide lawns
on which to rest/run around on as well as shrubs and hedges where children
can play and explore.
Outside the back door there is a
building with a fully equipped washroom, loo, and beach shower (to keep sand/salt outside after a day on the beach!).

The cottage has a drive-through
garage with parking on a slate forecourt for four cars, plus space in the
garage.
NB! There is a height restriction of
6'6". |
